Assessment and Authorization Specialist

Supports the Sponsor’s organizations by leading Certification & Accreditation / Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities across desktop, voice, and audio/video IT environments. The role focuses on RMF execution, system security compliance, and maintaining a strong Information Security Program throughout the system lifecycle.
Clearance: TS/SCI w/Polygraph
+ Run and manage the full A&A/RMF process, including greenlighting systems.
+ Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs).
+ Conduct security scans, mitigate findings, and manage vulnerabilities.
+ Perform security updates, patching (Windows/Linux), and configuration management.
+ Support system configuration and deployment (e.g., laptops).
+ Guide systems through security approval processes.
+ Advise stakeholders on improving security processes and architectures.
+ Coordinate with Sponsor staff and technical management on operational effectiveness
+ Bachelor’s degree in IT/cybersecurity (or equivalent experience).
+ Strong experience with RMF and INFOSEC policies and regulations.
+ Experience with security documentation, repositories, and tracking tools.
+ Knowledge of cyber threats and mitigations (malware, zero-day, DoS).
+ Strong communication, briefing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide senior-level technical guidance.
+ Experience with the Sponsor’s A&A process and project lifecycle.
+ CISSP certification.
+ Familiarity with the Sponsor’s IT infrastructure, systems, and networks.
