RCT is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support a large, cloud-native, mission-critical program focused on Entitlement, IdAM/ICAM, and digital identity services. The role supports a 200+ FTE development environment and works closely with developers, engineers, and security teams to design, implement, and maintain secure AWS-based infrastructure.
Clearance: TS/SCI w/Polygraph
+ Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native services in AWS.
+ Provide technical leadership and hands-on engineering support to mission teams.
+ Support 24/7 mission-critical systems with a rotating on-call schedule (1 week every ~2 months).
+ Perform Linux system administration, security patching, and AWS server support.
+ Support a COTS LDAP-based service used by hundreds of sponsor systems.
+ Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of enterprise systems.
+ Work within Agile/Scrum teams and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
+ Produce strong technical documentation and design guidance.
+ BS + 6–10 years of experience.
+ Expert Linux system administration (Bash/CLI).
+ Strong AWS and cloud infrastructure-as-code experience.
+ Experience with security accreditation processes.
+ DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker, Rundeck, etc.).
+ Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats).
+ Agile experience and cross-functional team collaboration.
+ Ability to support privileged access and on-call rotation.
+ LDAP experience.
+ AWS Associate-level certification.
+ 3+ years of C2S experience.
+ CloudFormation, Tomcat, NGINX.
+ IAM / IdAM / ICAM, authentication & authorization systems.
+ Containerization, Ansible, JavaScript, SQL.
