The Contract Coordinator supports all aspects of contract administration for government and defense contracts. This role ensures compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), agency supplements (such as DFARS), and internal policies. The Contract Coordinator will assist in the preparation, tracking, and administration of contracts, modifications, and subcontracts to support program performance and risk management. US Citizen REQUIRED. Security Clearance preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare, review, and track contract documentation, including prime contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and teaming agreements.
+ Maintain detailed and organized contract files to ensure audit readiness and compliance with federal regulations.
+ Monitor contract deliverables, funding, period of performance, and reporting obligations.
+ Assist with contract modifications, extensions, and closeouts in coordination with program management and finance teams.
+ Ensure timely flow of contract communications and approvals between internal departments and external stakeholders.
+ Support proposal teams by providing contract data, reviewing solicitation requirements, and preparing compliance matrices.
+ Work with internal departments to identify and mitigate contractual risks.
+ Maintain and update contract management systems, Costpoint experience preferred, with accurate contract data.
+ Assist with internal and external audits, including DCMA, DCAA, or agency-specific reviews.
+ Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations and guidelines.
Education & Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Contract Management, Public Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in a contract’s role supporting government contracts (DoD, NASA, DHS, etc.).
- Experience with FAR/DFARS and other federal acquisition regulations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong working knowledge of the federal contracting process and contract lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Deltek Costpoint is a huge plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive contract information.
+ NCMA certification (e.g., CFCM, CCCM) or coursework in government contracting.
+ Experience supporting small business set-aside contracts, SBIR/STTR programs, or IDIQ/MAC contracts.
+ Familiarity with subcontract flow-downs and contract compliance tools.
+ Security Clearance: Secret Minimum
