Stephen Cobb
President and Director

With over 25 years of experience in engineering development, production, service and customer relations, Mr. Cobb is a proven, versatile, and results-driven professional noted for bringing energetic vision and firm leadership to organizations. He has extensive experience managing technology product development divisions and as an advisor to military and Federal leaders and commercial executives.

Prior to RCT Systems, Mr. Cobb was directly responsible for Satcon Applied Technology’s (AT) P&L as General Manager and Director. As General Manager, he was directly responsible for P&L, strategic planning, operations, directing and controlling all AT contracts and product lines. Mr. Cobb managed the AT P&L under maximum parent allocations while remaining competitive in the marketplace and achieving growth and strategic product developments. While General Manager AT, operating income increased (5%-10%), utilization increased from 50% to 84%, and backlog was increased significantly.

Before joining Satcon, Mr. Cobb managed the P&L for Power & Energy business area at Northrop Grumman which generated $25M a year in revenues. His business received sector awards 3 years running for the highest profitability and growth within the sector.

Mr. Cobb spent the first 10 years of his career with Westinghouse Electric Corporation where he advanced from Associate Engineer working with Automated Test Equipment for military avionics to Senior Field Engineer managing the integration of Westinghouse power electronics and drive trains into Chrysler Corporation and Blue Bird Body Company hybrid and electric vehicles.

Mr. Cobb is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Electrical Engineering.
